Fitness Levels B - Beginner I - Intermediate A - Advanced
BODYPUMP BIA
Designed for all ages and fitness levels, BODYPUMP delivers real results, real fast. This athletic-based workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every major muscle group in the body. With motivating music and awesome instructors, BODYPUMP strengthens, tones, and defines like nothing else can!
TRIM ‘N SCULPT BIA
WOMEN’S BODYSHAPING BI (Held in the fitness center.)
Improve your overall health, quicken your metabolic rate, develop a positive self image, and learn how weight training can work for you. This class utilizes various weight training equipment to strengthen your abdomen, back, chest, shoulders, legs, hips, and arms.
AB ATTACK BIA
Designed for beginners, as well as more advanced exercisers, this class targets the mid-section. Work your abdominals and back from a variety of angles in this 20-minute class and promote core strength and stabilization.
BODYSTEP BIA
BODYSTEP is an athletic workout that will shape and tone your entire lower body and push your fat-burning systems into high gear! The group atmosphere is inspiring. The music and energy is addictive! Effective and easy-to-follow moves provide a high-energy, athletic cardio blast that is simple enough for men and women of all ages & fitness levels.
DANCE AEROBICS BIA
The aerobic class that gives you great cardiovascular conditioning without repetitive movements. This is a dance-inspired program that blends jazz, ballet, and modern dance to challenge the intermediate/advanced exerciser both physically and mentally. Class also includes 15 minutes of toning and matwork. *Drop-in by instructor approval
FLEX BIA
Walk, skip, jog, and run your way to fitness. Combine all the benefits of cardio, strength, and flexibility in one workout! We leave out the complicated choreography and add motivational music to help you meet your fitness goals.
WALKING CLUB BI (formerly Mommy & Me Stroller Fitness)
Do you enjoy walking? Is it getting too cold? Rainy? Icy? Come join our Wednesday WALKING CLUB & forget the weather outside! Add strength and stretch segments to complete this 60-minute workout. Friends, family, neighbors, and strollers welcome.
QI GONG BI
QI GONG, which literally means “energy work” is similar to Tai Chi, in that it incorporates slow, meditative movements with deep abdominal breathing. Learn to calm the mind as you energize the body.
YOGA BIA
Derived from the sanscrit word “yug”, yoga means to yoke, bend, join, or direct one’s attention. This beautiful, ancient system uses the practice of postures, proper breathing, and concentration techniques that teach the yoga student to focus on the spirit, mind, and body.
YOGALATE BI
Get the best of both Yoga and Pilates training in one class. Build core strength and give muscles definition in this 60-minute workout.
PILATES IA
Experience the form of exercise founded by Joseph Pilates over half a century ago. This format focuses on core abdominal strength, body alignment, concentration, and yoga-like stretching. Unlike many other programs, PILATES creates length in the muscles, redefining them to give a longer, leaner look. Build core strength and flexibility in this 60-minute mat class.
Karate (Ages 6-adult)
Our very popular traditional Gojo Ryu Karate; our program has flourished at the Y for more than twenty years! Develop flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular fitness while building self-confidence and discipline and learning self defense. All skill levels are welcome. This body conditioning class will tone, firm, and reshape your entire body by reducing body fat and increasing lean muscle. The 45-minute workout is fast-paced and challenging with motivating music that will help you improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance without adding bulk. The group atmosphere and ending “thought of the day” will leave you wanting more! All ability levels welcome.
